First trip to the lake

It hit 81 here today, and Michelle and I thought that it would be a good day to see what Matt thought of the lake that is just over the hill from our home.

Very uncertain about this whole "get wet with clothes on" thing 

At first he was really surprised when i sat him right down in the water, and was unsure about what he should do. Michelle coaxed him in to the water for a bit, then he stated crawling out of the shallows and into the  "beach".

Building a wall...

He soon discovered MUD. It is supposed to be sand. But here in PA we don't have beautiful sandy beaches. We have trucked in sand that is mixed with river silt. Since our  lakes are all "flood control" lakes, this is where the river silt ends up.

Dirt? I can play in the dirt? COOL!

But Matt didn't seem to notice or care one bit.  he was FILTHY and he was very pleased about that!

How can anyone be this adorable and this dirty at the same time?

IT was a very sunny day, and a bright day for Matt makes him squint terribly. so all of his pictures make him look irritated but i can assure you that nose squint is a smile and a laugh.

We have decided that tomorrow we will be going back as our entire family has the day off and we want to do a family day at ht6e lake. so Picnic food and loads of fun :)  So watch for more pictures soon!
