Friday Favorites -- Colors!

ALL right I know this wasn't a big surprise to ANYONE who knows me My favorite color is purple. My husband knew before he married m e that if he wanted to be married to me he had to not only take my child as his own, but that purple was going to be a MAJOR part of his life. he simply said ok as long as it isn't PINK!

Friday Favorites -- How To

Friday favorites was part of a "Blog Game" that I was a part of for a short while....

It was on my Craft blog, I have now moved it here.

I will post what the favorite is going to be on Thursday, as a PS or second post. Then on Friday you post your favorite to match mine. or if you don't have a blog, you can just comment your favorite!

For example: I post my favorite movie (and probably a clip from it) you post your favorite on your blog or you just comment with your favorite movie! I get alot of anonymous comments so make certain you "sign" your comment . This way I learn about you and you learn about me!

Monday Manicures On Tuesday! Ghosts

We took a short break to do my nails Ghosts don't take long at all white base and three sharpie blobs for ghoulish faces!

Monday Manicures CANCELLED

Today there will be no monday manicures...
Due to the fact that My daughter normally does my nails for me on Sunday afternoons, and yesterday she decided that it was time to start her fall house cleaning and possibly GET THIS MESS CLEANED UP! as I have been saying for weeks.

So between the two of us we managed to clean under her bed and the shelves above her bed and sort through the totes under her bed and get quite a bit "flung"

To give her credit the whole room no longer looks like the above pic,
this is a shot of how the area we worked on looks now,

and yes the whole room was trashed prior to yesterday. We still have to put the stuff back on the shelves, it used to be books, but after decluttering some of them, we decided that under the bed totes were the way to go with them.

We declutter in a clock wise direction so the next step will be her desk, she will have to unload it, throw some stuff away, clean it and put the stuff back. some of the things that are on her desk can now go to the shelves above her bed now that this space is available.

If she works on it steadily every day this will be done by the next weekend.

Potatoe chips with no guilt!

I was out thrifting the other day. I can only do that for a half hour or so, But i have a store that is very close, and I like to go in once every two weeks or so. I used to go there for hours at a time several days a week. but now i get there when I can and I don't stay long.

Well I found this bowl. the fact aht it was purple caught my eye. but then as i got to looking at it it had all of this wonderful complement stuff in it.

My sister says to fill it with chocolate, But i think chips is the way to go, or maybe popcorn? its just a great size.

The productions name was on the bottom. so of course that made me search it. Gotta love google!

LOOK WHAT I FOUND!

Back in July, I was given a wonderful gift from my friend Casey Well the very same day I Lost one of the earrings. and I was MIGHTY upset by it because I loved them so much!!

I found it in my pantry while i was resetting my sewing room. I dont know how it got on the floor in there way in the back. but i swept out the pantry and THERE IT WAS!!!

I am so happy I I must do "The Dance of Joy"! EVERYONE TOGETHER!

Monday Manicures-- Fried Eggs

Oddly this was a little more complex than what we normally do, and I am not really happy about the way it turned out, they kinda look like the paint has chipped off instead of supposed to be this way.

paint your white spot, let dry, then a single yellow drop for the yolk. that part doent want to dry well AT ALL so if you bump them first just like in a real egg you will "break" your yolk!

Heat Miser

After yesterdays post, My sister sent me this video, and with Gales of laughter told me that Steve and I need to be snow miser and heat miser for Halloween. I don't know, sounds like a good idea. Although I don't know how much trick or treating I will be doing.

Fun with Halloween Wigs

We all went to the mall (thank God for wheelchairs) last week and we spent some time in a Halloween shop. These a two of the wigs I tried on just for fun.

I kinda liked the red one. I might have to try that color after my hair comes back.

Rhino Virus

Yep thats right a common cold, what a pain. It kept me from getting treatment this week. It had me down for the count for a few days. But I can see where I am starting to SLOWLY make my way back.

As I recover, I keep thinking about how sick I would be and how awful I would feel if i DID have treatment. Think about it, treatment makes me feel like crap, and my cold is making me feel like crap, so does that mean I would have felt like double crap? NO THANK YOU!

I get to resume treatment on tuesday provided that I am doing ok.

Monday Manicures spiders

Can You tell I am gearing up for Halloween? once again i have gone to wallmart and bought a new color. this is "Pure Ice's Super Star"

and Just like my Purer Ice's Hot Tamale It has EXCELLENT coverage. Most "white" polishes leave brush strokes. but by the second coat just solid white. Dried great.

then use a simple sharpie to draw on the spiders and the webs. VERY EASY to do.

New Doo-rag

No I don't have walleye vision,




I was slipping this way cool doo-rag on my head and somehow caught my eyelids just as Michelle snapped this picture. Of course when I looked at it we both got to laughing so hard that we started to cry. that's when she snapped this one:

Oddly enough, it looks like I should be in a cheech and chong movie....

I swear not since my 20's!!

Finally The new Doo-rag that Andy gave me is on and I have a bit more composure! Thank you Andy!!

Zombieland

The other night My Good friend from high school, my daughter, my husband and myself went out to see a new movie. Now we have Odd tastes in movies how often do you find bloody and funny in the same flick? Well Zombie land was def a funny, bloody movie.

I have not had so much fun since I was in school. I forget how much better you feel when you can take an evening and just forget that you are sick and forget all of the crap that comes with it and just relax and have fun.

Monday Manicures Jack-o-lanterns

Happy October everyone!

Todays monday manicures is a simple jack-o-lantern. Paint your mails orange. get your trusty black sharpie out two triangles for eyes, and a sharp squiggle for the mouth.

Simple easy and it will attract attention.

A DIFFRENT DONATION

I have a friend that lives away. He has been very supportive though out my illness with short encouraging letters. He feels badly that he cannot make the trip here for my benefit tonight. So in my email today I received a poem.
