In a pinch silk wrap

Ok i have been working very hard at growing my nails... I read an article maybe i will post more about it later...

and i have a problem growing the nail on my index finger of my left hand. I had a knife accident with it and the nail hasnt been right since... (if you look close, you can still see the scar)

Well so i stopped nibbling on my fingers (the artificial nails did that) and i stopped filing them (they were weaker from filing them) and they jsut stopped breaking.

even that first finger started growing. I was so proud. my nails were as long as my active length glue on's. well anyhow, I was walking into my sister in laws house ansd i caught my finger nail on my purse strap and it bent the corner back. and a tiny tear at the nail bed. in the past, i would have nibbled at it all night until I had the nail "even"

But not tonight! I pressed the tear back to where it should be and i left it alone. ( I did peek at it several times in the night) but I left it alone.

When i got home I used a tip from a girl named Jen that i met at the hospital. TEA BAG silk wraps.

You cut off just the tip of a tea bag just under the staple. that gives you two little strips.

Glue them over the break not with the break but against. file lightly & a nice coat of clear. Then your colored polish. It isnt 100% but it may hold it for a few days until your finger can get the nail grown out a bit.

I will see how long it holds up and I will let you know.

I have a hard time growing my nails since I started polishing. I didn't have any problem before. Must be something to do with polishing makes them brittle.
:)
Glad you got it repaired.
