Friday Favorites -- Love Song

Friday favorites this week is "What is your favorite love song?"

I think we need to define what a love song is because it could be a perspective thing.

Princeton University's wordnet defines it as;

(n) love song, a song about love or expressing love for another person

So if its talking about how much they loves someone else, it must be a love song. Wow that makes the list HUGE!

Because of that I, being a hopeless romantic, have many that I consider favorites. But the really good ones conveys the love you cannot express in your heart in the form of words and in music.

At this point, there are may people out that that want to express a gigantic "GACK" right now. I will try not to pity you folks for feeling this way.

Every Genre of music has love songs here's a tiny list.

Careless Whisper -- Seether (Rock)
Love me Tender -- Elvis Presley (oldies)
More than a feeling -- Boston (Classic Rock)
Maybe I'm Amazed -- Paul McCartney (duh)
Lips of an Angel -- Hinder (alt Rock)
If you only knew -- Shinedown (alt Rock) Michelle made me keep this one!
Love Drunk -- Boys like Girls (pop rock?)
How deep is your love -- the Bee Gees (Disco)
Unchained Melody -- The righteous Brothers (Motown)
I need love -- LL Cool J (Rap)
Breathe -- Faith Hill (country)
I will always love you -- Dolly Parton (Classic Country)
Momma I'm coming home -- Ozzy Osbourn (heavy metal)

so even if you think you don't like love songs, you just might not realize you do.

This is my favorite Love song, and even though there are so many that I love I think this one is my fav because when I fell in love with my husband, All I wanted was to be close to him. It didn't matter what we were doing as long as he was near. I still feel that way to this day. { everyone gag together please ;-P }

So give a listen to Karen Carpenters velvety sweet smooth sound and see why I love this song.
